Where Diesel Still Makes Sense

Electric isn't the right answer everywhere, at least not yet. Facilities without reliable charging infrastructure, extremely high-duty-cycle operations running near-continuous shifts, or extreme cold-weather environments still need a case-by-case evaluation. The honest answer for most enterprise shippers is a mixed fleet during the transition — not an all-or-nothing switch.

How to Plan the Transition

Start with your highest-volume facility, where the fuel savings and emissions impact will be largest fastest. Confirm charging infrastructure and utility capacity before ordering equipment, not after. And build the transition into your existing fleet replacement cycle rather than treating it as a separate capital project — that's usually the difference between electrification that sticks and a pilot that quietly stalls.
